Aplomb interprets in ALL LANGUAGES – We began in 1989 as providers of specialised, high-end interpreting and translation services to the legal, financial and technical sectors. Our success lies in our exceptional people who are at the top level of their profession. Some of our interpreters are engaged to work all around the globe. Aplomb is trusted and relied upon to provide exceptional and bespoke legal interpreting. When clients use the worlds’ best lawyers, they expect the worlds’ best interpreters. Top lawyers know they can depend upon us to deliver their message right. Magic Circle and Global top 10 law firms have been our customers for 33 years.
Not every jurisdiction has local professional legal interpreters in all language pairs. When complex court matters require interpreters, Aplomb is able to provide experienced global court interpreters with subject matter knowledge as well as language pair aptitude. We have sent our sector specialist and rare language interpreters to many places including the Cayman Islands, Dubai, and Germany.
Simultaneous Interpreting is the usual form for court interpreting
Simultaneous interpreting is an exceptional skill and not many people are trained to do this. It is so difficult and stressful for the body that interpreters work in 20 minute segments and then need a 20 minute break. This is why for simultaneous interpreting assignments, interpreters work in pairs. For intensive events where the subject matter is highly complex, the timeframe is long or there can be no break in the interpreting, three interpreters work as a team. In this arrangement, there are always two interpreters in the booth at any one time.
This ensures there is a backup interpreter to ensure that everything is included and in case of something as simple as a dry throat or cough. The third interpreter will rotate back in every 20 minutes.
Aplomb’s Court interpreters are highly trained and proficient consecutive interpreters or simultaneous interpreters with full experience of court procedures. They always remain impartial. We provide interpreters for courts, arbitrations and mediations, including remote interpreting via video conferencing and telecon interviews.
Our legal interpreters are experienced in all legal scenarios including assisting with witness statements, immigration matters, court appearances and conferences. We can provide Registered Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI), with a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DSPI) or with specified security clearance levels where appropriate. We work with you to find the interpreter to best present your matter and style.
Keep in mind that experienced professional court interpreters do get booked up, just like any other court expert, and the sooner you confirm your interpreting dates, the better the prospect for you to be able to book your interpreters of choice.
